UKS Simple Recipe for April #2

Garden Party

Inspired by the UKS Simple Recipe for April by Sarah of SJ Crafts

The challenge was to use a colour palette of sunshine yellow, apple green, cool red and pale pink and incorporate stickers and twine.

I thought this was a perfect colour combination to set off this photo of a squiffy, sunshiney afternoon in my Uncle's garden. The flap lifts up to reveal another picture inside - I often do this to squeeze in more photos.
The bright yellow Magic Mesh  had been lying about in my craft room for ages as I didn't know what to do with it, but now I think it's BRILL and want some more. Apparently they still stock it at http://www.thecraftzboutique.com
I inked the mesh to tone it down a bit and threaded some floss through it, then layered it over the papers before adding the title and bunting which was made with the scraps and more floss.
I've had the little Beatrix Potter cut-outs for so long I can't remember where they came from - one of the best things about these challenges is that they make you "go shopping" in your own stash and actually use all that stuff you've been squirrelling away.
