A Jolly to Birmingham

Trina and I had a FABulous time at the International Craft and Hobby Fair at the NEC Birmingham in March.
Essential Equipment
Comfy shoes and a large bag on wheels - we filled it full of food to take with us, then ate the food and filled it full of shopping.

Make & Takes

We had such a brilliant time - we got there early so we could book up four of the free workshops. They were all great fun - we had the chance to play with some new products and picked up lots of tips and ideas. The results were proudly taken home so our husbands could practice their "oooo-aaah!" techniques. AND we still had plenty of time for some serious crafty shopping in between workshops. The box frame you can see at the back was made from cardstock, using a Martha Stewart scoring board (thanks Oyster Papercrafts - now I really need one of those!)  and Memory Box dies.

The greetings card was done with stamping and embossing at the WOW stand - so many ideas to try...

The heart mini canvas used amazing paints from Pebeo and we loved the gold leaf flakes as well.

But the highlight of the whole show for us was meeting Clare Charvill on the Ali-Crafts stand.

Clare showed us how to make the beautiful tag and she was also kind enough to talk us through her fantastic mini books - WHAT an inspiration! Check out Clare's blog

My Haul

We were offered special deals for attending the workshops and in the circumstances it would have been churlish not to take full advantage. One or two other irresistible items found their way into my trolley as well...
Note my purple Crafty Bob Craft Bag at the back, my extra special Golden Crafty Bob Bag and my Crafty Bob bone folder at the front...we LOVE Crafty Bob!
