WOYWW 213

Hello out there and how are you all this fine What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?! :o) to find out what on earth I'm going on about, check out Julia's blog Stamping Ground where you can have a good old virtual rummage through other people's workrooms and link up to your own as well if you've a mind to - it's fun - try it! So here's mine today

I'm very excited, because it's my Grand Opening Day and some of my crafty mates are coming over later to help me celebrate my beautiful new workroom and in the middle-ish of this picture you can see some stamps which I'm going to use to make a little surprise for my girls ... sssshhhh!

Also on this messy desk is a board book I've started preparing with gesso and a paintbrush which is ruined because I forgot to wash it out. tsk. Some scribblings on the left are the first steps on my Find Your Voice journey. There's also this week's tag for Tag Tuesday  and my altered book art journal for Summer of Color ... and that's just a few of the projects I have on the go at the mo PHEW!!!

But all of that has been pushed aside today, to make way for CAKE!!! I've been busy in the kitchen, because the girls have been promised two things this evening - a rummage through my new drawers and plenty of cake. Here's what I've made today (love my new teacup tablecloth!)

There are two tray bakes - choc fudge and lemon drizzle which I can make in my sleep now - but I'm well chuffed with the strawberry shortcake

The recipe was so easy to use, although mine looks a little different to theirs - check it out here

You can join in with my celebrations if you're quick - enter for a chance to win one of two gorgeous packs of ribbons just by leaving a comment and clicking a button on my original post - go for it!!!
You have until 11.59pm GMT today 3rd July but you gotta be innit to winnit :o)xxx

Thanks for popping in - I'm off to finish titivating now, will have to come back tomorrow to check out everyone else's creative spaces - see  you soon.

What a brilliant cook you are! That strawberry shortcake is a creation to be proud of! I love the satisfaction of baking too - it's so nice to treat friends and family. Your friends are so lucky they sound as if they're in for a fabulous time! Craft and cakes sounds like heaven! Love all the projects you have on the go! It's always uplifting to have a nosy at what you're up to. Julie Ann #54 xx

Good luck with your Grand Opening and I'm sure the cakes will go down a treat, they look yummy! A tip for the paintbrush - soak it in some alcohol and wash with a brush soap (or washing up liquid will do). It might need a few attempts and it may not be perfect but at least you won't need to throw it away. Hope that helps. Thanks for sharing and Happy Woyww Liz@63

It sounds like we're juggling a lot of the same classes!
I'm combining Passport to ARt and Find Your Voice quite a bit.
