WOYWW 240!

Hi everyone,

What's On Your Workdesk this Wintery Wednesday? Here's your chance to share it with the world and have a peek at what everyone else gets up to in their crafty spaces - check out Julia's Stamping Ground for all the details and join in, it's brilliant fun!

So here's my workdesk as it stands this morning, poised for action once I finish pootering and get a couple of chores out of the way ...

This is my January Counterfeit Kit, all boxed up and ready to go. I've been meaning to get around to the CKC for a couple of years now, it's such a brilliant idea, so in the spirit of trying new things in 2014, I decided to jump right in - see my previous post for details if you're interested.

To the right of the pizza box, you'll see a fun little gadget which my BHS (Big Hairy Son) gave me for Christmas - it's a battery-powered eraser, which sounds peculiar, but you can get some lovely effects with it and I want to try it out in my art journal later. Speaking of BHS - if you were here last week, you'll remember that he had his first go at crochet ... well, I think he's HOOKED! He's back at home now, but here's a picture he sent me last night ...

Impressive, huh? I wonder if I can get him to come yarn-bombing with me???

Thanks for popping in, see you again soon - I'm for a little potter around Julia's Stamping Ground now :o)

ps the toilet rolls on the RHS are Destined for Great Things - quote from my husband at the weekend, "sigh, are you collecting toilet rolls again?" it's a mystery to him, but he's very patient with my crafting obsession.

Hi Annie
I am sitting here with my mouth wide open your son has done a fantastic job I think for a beginner he is running with it and doing an amazing job.
Your new eraser is great for using when working with pan pastels and helps with mistakes when using gilding flakes. Would love to know what else you will be using it for
Have a great WOYWW today and enjoy the rest of your week

LOLOL at your menfolk!! I am fortunate to have a husband and sons who occasionally raise an eyebrow at me but let me get on doing my Thang!! And join in sometimes! Kudos to your BHS for that crochet, it's fab tell him. I like the stitch experimentation too.
And I had heard about your toilet roll obsession...watch out, it'll be egg boxes next and then you really are on the downward slope ;-)
Hugs, LLJ 2 xx

Hi Annie,

Hmmm, I can see collecting toilet paper rolls. I make toys for my bird with them. She loves chewing them up.

Now, I'm not sure if was you that asked the question about fat phoebe. It's the power strip -- I've know them as fat phoebe's for ages.... tee hee

Thank you for visiting me already.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Annie, just found your link over at Shaz in Oz, and became your newest follower. I'm amazed at your son's knitting. Gosh, I'm not a knitter, but this looks wonderful to me! I think this is fabulous that he wanted to learn & you could teach him. Can't wait to see what fascinating things you make with the toilet rolls. TFS & hope you can pay me a visit when you have a bit of time.
Thank you for your visit this week. Your post sent me wandering round the we to find out what CKC and yarn bombing are. Your son has done well with his first try at crochet. Hope he can keep it up and enjoy it. xx Maggie #24

Your son!? That is amazing!! Wish mine would give it a go. DD tried her hand at crochet, but gave up eventually, I don't think she has enough coordination.
That box looks very interesting.
Happy WOYWW!

Your SON!?! Amazing. Funnily enough DD picked a pattern for me to make a hat and it has bobbles - I hate bobbles. But my word didn't he do well?? I should send him her hat :) And also funny, I just saw one of those battery erasers and thought it was an odd thing but now I am totally intrigued... do share the effects one WOYWW day. Maybe we all need one.....

:)

{sigh} now DS-less and catching up
