I'm a bit slow off the starting block this month, because we were away for my birthday and then I was a bit poorly for a few days, but I'm back and raring to catch up!
The inspiration kit over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog this month is from Cocoa Daisy - and Wow! what a LOT of inspiration, because as well as the main kit there are lots of "add on" options here. Here's the main kit "Color Swatch"...
I decided to start with the main kit and then "go shopping" amongst the add-ons to create my own version, which I'm going to call "Flea Market Finds". Here are my papers ...

The main kit includes some papers from the gorgeous Maggie Holmes Flea Market Collection by Crate Paper, and I just happened to have a few sheets of it in my stash - love the fresh colour combo and the quirky mix of vintage with a modern edge, just my cup of tea! I've kept the acid yellow and the grey from the inspiration kit, but replaced the cherry red with more of a raspberry pink, and thrown in some minty green and woodgrain.
There's also a sheet of Maggie Holmes "Elizabeth Kate" which I've been saving forever - I love how it looks like vintage pillow ticking and because it's splashed with watery pink drops it's perfect for this kit. The pink chevron paper is MME Jen Allyson The Sweetest Thing and I also threw in a few sheets of Bazzill cardstock but may need to grab more as I go along ...
From the main kit I also picked up -
Rummaging about for something to replace the puffy stickers, I found the last few of a set of chipboard banner stickers from Fancy Pants which I altered to look a bit more interesting. Then I started to explore the "add-on" kits - I was on a roll now!
From "Paint Chips" I picked out some sequins, pearls, Prima Sugar dots, resin flowers from a Papermania charm pack I was given for my birthday (yummy!), striped cork arrows, and the price stickers just because they seemed to fit in so well ...
Browsing through "Mood Board" I spotted some corsage pins, chalkboard stickers and vintage-style admission tickets ...
Moving along to "Project Art" now and here I added to my collection of goodies some paint samples, doilies, watercolour paper, Glossy Accents, Twinkling H2Os and the inspiration to dig out my old paintbox ...
Last but not least I checked out the DITL add-on, where I found wood veneer stars, gold star sequins, twine, journaling cards and cute paperclips with little flags which I forged (but that's another story) ...
A few more bits and bobs which I came across whilst scavenging through my stash were added to the haul -
So here's my "Flea Market Finds Kit", all boxed up and ready to play with ...
I didn't have time for much forgery this month, but I will do a separate post about my March Makes tomorrow ...

- Forged photo corners and word stickers in a vellum pocket
