Watercolour Challenge!

The first challenge this month over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog was use a watercolour technique on your page, so I dug out the old watercolour paintbox and had a lovely time making drips and splats all over the place.

Here's the first page I made with my March Counterfeit Kit ...

I used a sketch by the lovely Lizzy Hill for Scrap365 - Thanks Lizzy!!!

  • Patterned paper from the Maggie Holmes Flea Market collection by Crate Paper
  • Stickers and cut-apart from the Teresa Collins Daily Stories collection
  • Chipboard stickers from Simple Stories Daily Grind and Homespun

I've had this little watercolour paintbox for years, and plenty of gorgeous textured watercolour paper ...

It was easy to make some fabulous watery splashes of colour for the background...

... and colour some white Prima Canvas Alphas to match my page ...

Here's another page I made using my trusty paintbox and more goodies from my March Counterfeit Kit "Flea Market Finds" ...

The pillow-ticking style paper is Maggie Holmes "Elizabeth Kate" by Crate Paper - I've been saving it for ages! It fits in perfectly with this kit because of the paint splashes and the vintage style. More paper from the Flea Market collection as well, and a cut-apart journaling card from the Teresa Collins Daily Stories collection.

This time I used a sketch by Veera Saarivuo for Scrap 365 - thanks Veera!!!

Here's a close-up of the details ...

You can see the watercolour wash behind the photo, as well as more drippy splashes of colour, I used watercolours to give my alphas a hint of colour too. There are a couple of the home-made embellies from my kit here - the tickets and the paperclip flag.

Well, that's it for now - hoping to catch up with the next two challenges this week and of course I will be visiting the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog on the 24th for the Members' Blog Hop!

Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon :o)xxx
