Hi everyone,
Case File #120 over at CSI this week is full of fun - pretty colours which remind me of sorbets, icecream and blue skies and all kinds of quirky ideas to get your mojo going. Here it is ...
In order to crack the case, you need to use all these clues to create a scrapbook page -
This page is all about the essentials I needed with me at all times on my wedding day in 2011 - including two of my best friends, Sally and Trina, who you can see in this photo.
But did I follow all the clues???
safety pins - check
lippy - check
good friends - check!
I've never been good at the girly stuff like hair and make-up and I was SO nervous about walking into the Church and being the centre of attention. I don't think I could have done it without Sally and Trina by my side - they made me feel I could be beautiful and I will never forget that xx"
Now for some close-ups so we can check that I followed all those clues ...
I started with some Bazzill cardstock which has a great linen texture; then I added some scribbles of acrylic paint using a needle-tip bottle; I added some extra texture to the striped paper with my TH Distressing Tool; I used a couple of mists to colour the blue flower and I painted over the pink one with white paint ...
Here's my vellum pocket tucked in behind the photo; the little sticker was from a Simple Stories DIY Typeset sticker sheet; the patterned papers were from the Chalk Studio 2 collection and the Crate Paper Flea Market 6" paper pad. One of them is striped and again I roughed up the edges to add texture ...
You can see some of the sheer fabric ribbon trim here; the wood veneer hearts, arrows and stars were all Studio Calico and used paint to colour them to match my page ...
More confetti sprinkles of wood veneers here - one of the hearts has fallen upside-down!
So that's it, case cracked! Now why not have a go yourself - pop over to CSI for loads of inspiration and you have until next Sunday to upload your page to the gallery - see you there!
