Bingo - New House!

Hi everyone,
Have you seen the May challenge over at the SJ Crafts blog yet? It's such a fun idea - you just choose any row on this grid (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) ...

... and create a project using the items in all three squares. This time, I chose the bottom horizontal row and used mixed alphas, torn paper and a bow and I made a scrapbook page featuring a photo of my little boys back in 1984 when we had just moved house ...

The patterned papers, stickers and diecuts are all from thewonderful DIY Shop collection by Crate Paper - other than that all I used was some twine, a little ink, various alphas and that gorgeous sunflower (unfortunately can't remember where I got those cos I would like some more!) ...

You can see the torn edges here, and the mixed alphas - such a good way to use up odd letters. The die cut banner was so much fun to use - I just popped them out of the sheet, inked and doodled the edges and threaded them on twine. The rulers were cut from patterned paper from the collection and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink

The tag was from a cut-apart sheet in the collection - tied with twine to finish it off. The file tab stickers also came with the collection. I flicked some drops of ink about to add interest to the ledger paper.

These numbers were also cut from a patterned paper in the collection, finished with some doodling and popped up on foam dots. You can see another touch of torn paper behind them.

What a brilliant idea for a challenge this was - why not have a go yourself? Check out the SJCrafts blog for inspiration, and remember to link up on the blog or upload to our Facebook page, because we love to see what you create :o)
