Hi Everyone,
Me again - I don't think I've ever done so many posts in such a short time!
This project combines two of the many fun challenges in the Refresh Your Craft & Soul free blog event over at Jennifer Grace Creates this weekend. The first was to create something small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The other was to put a refreshing phrase in a box. Here's what I came up with ...
... on both sides ...
... all the edges were sanded and inked and then I stuck the box back together again, added a rose to the top and a word sticker from the Simple Stories DIY collection ...
... and inside a paper spring which helps to make the word pop out when the box is opened. We used to make these when we were kids and we called them "cats' staircases" for some reason - they're really handy for adding dimension and movement to projects - if anyone would like to know how to make a paper spring, please leave a comment and I'll be happy to oblige.
Thanks for visiting my blog today - I have one more RYCAS post to go I think :o)

Love it!!!! What a great idea...& I would never have thought of 'deconstructing' the box before reconstructing it....MUCH easier to cover!!!
The little box looks great!
A lovely box... love the colours. I never throw anything away now I can't wait to create something with the boxes I have. Love it.
This is awesome, I love the spring effect! Great message too. And I love how you decorated the box! Thank you so much for joining in the challenges at Jennifer Grace Creates! x
