WOYWW 261

Hi everyone,

Well it's a rainy day here today, which is actually perfect, because I have Big Plans, most of which involve shutting myself away in my room and getting on with some serious cutting and sticking.

Here's my desk as it looked this morning ...

... quite tidy for me, with a lovely clean, brand new cutting mat which I got at a very good price from eBay. But the exciting part about my desk is those three gorgeous ATCs from the WOYWW swap, which I am thrilled to bits with. This is going to be a longer-than-usual WOYWW post, because I just HAVE to show you my happy post :o) Here's a closer look ...

First to arrive was Laura's, which came in this cute little matching envelope  ...

... with a 5 on the front (for the WOYWW 5th Anniversary of course) ...

... and inside was this beauty ...

I love the fresh colour combo, the layering and the cool embossed details. It's a fabulous ATC Laura, and of course the ribbon and the number 5 will be duly upcycled too - thanks so much!

Next envelope to arrive was Helen's, which included all these gorgeous goodies ...

Helen's ATC is so cool - I love these colours against the text print, the clever inking and stamping techniques and so many fab details like the gorgeous winged heart. I can't believe she sent all these extra pretties and there's a card with a sweet poem on it too - thanks Helen!
I just need for you to design one of your clever templates to make some kind of quirky ATC storage now .....???

Last but not least came Debbie's envelope, which also contained an extra surprise ...

As well as the pretty, pretty ATC with all the lovely flutterbies, Debbie sent one of the tags she made as a souvenir of the WOYWW crop last week - I wasn't able to go, but I was there in spirit, so it's lovely to have this memento. You can see how much work is in all those layers of colour and texture. It's wonderful Debbie, thank you!

Well, after all that, I'm a bit embarrassed to show you my efforts - I didn't even know what you're supposed to put on the back - but it was my first ever ATC swap! Here they are about to be wrapped and posted ...

Thanks so much to all my swappers/swappees, this was such a lot of fun - it's lovely to have a little piece of your artwork to keep and I will treasure each of them. See you again soon at Julia's :o)

For anyone who may be reading this and wondering what WOYWW is - check out all the details over at Julia's Stamping Ground, where every Wednesday you can have a nosey at other people's workdesks and link up to show us what's happening on yours ... well, except this Wednesday actually, because Julia's on hols and there isn't a Mr Linky, but we'll be back to normal next week I'm sure - see you there!
