SOC4 Week Six - I Am Snailing!

Hi everyone,

It's the last week of Summer of Color 4 and I think Kristin saved the best for last ...

Raspberry and Tangerine with a smudge, splash or pop of Lemon - yummy! The challenge is to use this combo to create a project and then link up over at Twinkle Twinkle to share your inspiration and be in with a chance to win some gorgeous goodies. You can make anything you like and it's not too late to join in, so why not have a go yourself? Here's my art journal page ...

... spot the special guest! Please say hi to the beautiful Betty Blush, last but not least to get a mixed media makeover and join my line-up of lovelies ...

Betty's ombre-effect bodysuit in Raspberry and Tangerine is topped off with a glamorous matching shell suit. She has added a pop of luscious Lemon to highlight her beautiful eyes.

Here's what we used for my journal page and Betty's makeover ...

  • Layered Stencils and Remnant Rubs by Tim Holtz.
  • Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezd Lemonade and Black Soot.
  • Distress Paints in Picket Fence, Picked Raspberry and Wild Honey.
  • Viva Paper Pens
  • Faber Castell Big Brush Marker
  • Jenni Bowlin paint dabber in Lemon Drops
  • Dylusions spray in Squeezed Orange
All the girls have been dying to meet the last member of their little line-up ...

Starting with Betty Blush and working clockwise, we have Rosie Bucket, Lottie Lush, Mee-Shell MaBelle, Coral Fandango and Doris deVine.

Pop back in a few days to see the girls strut their stuff, look back at their humble beginnings and check out my finished art journal.

In the meantime, pop over to Twinkle Twinkle to see all the amazing artwork inspired by this week's combo and check out the Facebook page.

Thanks for visiting today, see you again soon

Of course I like your gorgeous journal page, but Betty Blush steals the scene, even leaving her own lemon trail. I've so enjoyed your glamorous snails over the past six weeks.
