One of my favourite warming winter comfort dishes is cauliflower cheese, but it's even more delicious made with "Romanesco" broccoli, because it's crisper and has a more delicate, nutty kind of flavour. It's also SO amazing to look at - look at this locally-grown beauty ...
I find its fractal form fascinating - according to this article on Wikipedia, the number of spirals on a head of a Romanesco is a Fibonacci number.
