Hi everyone,
It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday time!! That's the day when Deskers all over the world link up at Julia's Stamping Ground - you're welcome to join us, show the world what you've been up to, or just have a little snout at other people's craft spaces. Not an awful lot been happenng on mine this week, too much Life getting in the way again, but for what it's worth, here's how it looked yesterday evening ...
On Friday, I'm off to Scrapstars for the weekend with my friend Trina, so the crafty tote you can see in the foreground is stuffed full of scrapping necessities, its little wheels groaning under the strain! I guess I should really think about some clothes and suchlike at some point - but I plan to be mostly in old shirts and leggings, possibly even a onesie, and after the choices I made from the menu, elasticated waists will definitely be de rigeur :o)
Here's a closer look at what I've been making with those gorgeous brightly-coloured crochet cottons on my desk ...
The thing which looks a bit like a shoe is going to be a teeny tiny moses basket (all will become clear in a future post!) The pretty crocheted heart was a pattern I found on Nancy Drew Crochets
I've made mine in a much finer yarn than the pattern, but it worked well and I think it will make really pretty bunting, with some flowers, lace, beads etc etc - that's the plan anyway! I thought the vivid colours would be a great way to give a modern twist to some of the patterns in one of my old knitting and crochet books ...
This book is one of my treasures - it was a jumble sale find many years ago and I love how the previous owners have made notes and stuck bits in like this ...
Well, that's the full extent of my crafting endeavours this week - now I'm off to Julia's to see what everyone else has been up to. See you there :o)
