WOYWW #361

Hello Fellow Deskers and Bloggy Friends,

What a beeeeeOOOTiful morning it is - and I have the day off :o) I have a whole list of things I want to do today. Number one on the list - show you what's on my messy workdesk today and go link up over at the lovely Julia's Stamping Ground.

So here it is, with the sun streaming in through the window and perfectly highlighting just how messy my desk is again ...

It's not a great picture because parts of it are murky and the rest is washed out my the bright light, but I think you will get the gist - it's a mess, AGAIN!! But it's a mess because I've been using it, so that's a good thing right?! I've always been a messy crafter, but I used to tidy between projects - not any more, that seems to have gone the way of other non-essential tasks. As long as I can shovel everything out of the way enough to leave me a 12" square to work in, that's tidy enough.

One of the many good things about WOYWW is the reassurance that I am not alone in my messiness :o)

Here's a closer look at the cards you can see on the cutting mat -

I had a lovely time playing with this wonderful Altenew stamp and die set which came free on the front of a magazine - I only ever buy craft mags if the "freebie" on the front appeals to me and this one really REALLY called to me ...

It was so satisfying to build up the image in layers and I love how it looks a bit like vintage fabric prints, must have a look at some more layered stamp sets I think - that's the only trouble with freebies, they make you want more!

Ok, off to Julia's now, to link up and see what everyone else has been up to this week - see you there :o)

It's gorgeous here in Wiltshire as well and I'm off for a walk soon before my Oxfam shift. I lurrrve those roses, the colours are very similar to what I've been working on this week. I bet you'll use those stamps loads 💖😃

Good morning, Annie. A lovely, sunny morning here in North Wales as well. Sun streaming through the windows - how beautiful! That's a great card on your desk. I really like it. I only buy magazines when I like the freebie as well!! But I missed seeing this one... You are making good use of it. Well done you!
Take care. God bless.

The card is just gorgeous - that pink and green is fab - I love the fifties feel to it - it reminds me of the kitchen curtains my mum had when I was a child. I don't often see things that grab me with craft magazines but I would definitely have bought that had I seen it - I'm sure it will be a very useful set.
Thanks very much for the visit to mine earlier (the velvet embossing I did in last weeks post and there is a link there to instructions if you are interested). I hope you have a great week,

Morning Annie, and I think I can honestly say we have a beautiful day too.
I love the card you have made with the AlteNew freebies, I have them lurking in the cupboard waiting for a chance to use them, but don't think I will make anything that beautiful.
Thanks for sharing

Lovely warm sunny day here today Annie. What lovely cards you've made . Jill #6
The prints and die cuts you got from that freebie set look very professionally done. I thought it was a store bought pad you'd gotten to make the different pieces, so I can see why you want to buy more layered stamp sets. Blessings!
That's pretty good for a freebie! I think everyone is a sucker for freebies, whether we admit it or not! Craft Stamper magazine has recently introduced "digital stamps" instead of their regular polystamps and there was a big outcry, with customers cancelleing their subscriptions. Not a good marketing move!Love the layered look - I've never tried layered stamps before - I thought they were printed! Happy Wednesday, Annie! zsuzsa #32
Those flowers look wonderful. I also thought they were printed flowers images they look so stylish and well finished. Thanks for the visit to mine and have a great woyww, Angela x 24

Your desk looks pretty good to me Annie! I tend to scrap in a 12"x12" square despite having quite a large desk. Love what you've done with the freebie stamp.
