WOYWW 364 - 7th Anniversary!!

Hey everyone,

It's Wednesday again and time for a special WOYWW post today, because it's the 7th Anniversary and there's an ATC swap for anyone who wants to take part (if you don't want to do an ATC swap you can still join the linky party though) - the lovely LLJ is hosting while Julia's away so just nip over to her Fabric Frenzy blog and check it out.

I've made six ATCs all ready to swap AND I've already received a gorgeous one from Nikki which I'll show in a minute but first things first - my SHAMEFULLY MESSY DESK (I'm blushing here) ...

It's pretty bad isn't it? I sort of tidied a few days ago, but it's back to the "shovel it all to the back to make room to play" stage again already. And you should see rest of the room .... no, actually, you definitely shouldn't! :o)

In amongst all of that, if you were to zoom into the slightly clearer space at the front, you would see the beginnings of a paper tassel I've been working on ...

There are loads of tutorials on YT for these and I thought they'd be another great way to use up some of the piles of scraps and stuff I have stashed away and turn them into something pretty - if it works out I'll do another post later.

Now I want to show you the gorgeous ATC created by Nikki which arrived yesterday - I can't believe we only agreed to swap a few days ago and here it is all the way from Canada already ...

The light's a bit drab here this morning, so this pic doesn't really do justice to the lovely vivid colours, but you can see all the stamping and embossing in the background and just look at that cute little birdy! I love it. Nikki made a beautiful card and envelope as well ...

And finally, here is my ATC design for this year ...

I've arranged to swap with a few other deskers already, but I have one left to go to my swapee (that really should be a word!) - so I'm of to link up now and find out who that might be woohoo!!

Thanks for popping in to say hello, see you again soon :o)

That tassle looks fun to do (and it seems easy....)
Oh what a lovely ATC all the way from Canada! Yours is lovely too. We had agreed earlier to swap, so yours is ready to send.

I am determined to visit everyone. I have dedicated today to WOYWW. (a freezer meal for hubby I'm afraid!)

Happy 7th WOYWW anniversary

I can't believe it got there so quickly from Canada! Let's see if RM can beat that in the UK! I haven't posted mine to you yet. Hopefully tomorrow! So glad you got me into this, Annie - I wasn't going to take part, but now I'm glad I am! Happy anniversary! Zsuzsa #44

Looks as if I am your swapee (good name) so I guess you want my addie so that you can get that gorgeous atc off in the post. Will email you in a mo.
In the meantime I love those atc's you got from Nikki, she must have been busy with those and the badges.
Your desk is not untidy, not in my eyes anyhow - maybe because mine looks like that permanently.
Hugs, Neet xx

OMGosh your a busy girl and I laughed at the shovel comment about your space I tried to have my ribbons hanging all up like that I think they are pretty to look at but the DH would go a little bonkers with the girly stuff all littered about lol so they are all neatly tucked away. So glad it arrived to you safely and your ATC is so pretty I like how you did it with the hello what company makes that die? (the moon on the card Glows in the dark too)
hugs Nikki 1
HAPPY WOYWW #7 too

What a gorgeous ATC. I'm very excited that the swapee is me! It's totally a word. Sorry I didn't reply yesterday, the day just got away from me. I love that set of stamps you have designed, my daughter would too. They have a very sixties vibe I think, with the A line dress and pixie cut.

I'll email you now.

Oh what JOY this brings to my messy heart! Just like the 3" square I'm trying to create in right now, having dragged out stash from every crack and crevice (none of which is working) I'm waiting for the thunderbolt which will transform my project into something vaguely interesting. Grrr. Maybe if I do a tidy up, I'll get inspired. Your tassel looks so pretty in the midst of all the detritus and I love the ATC. It's always fun to see what you are up to. TFS

I would have been by sooner, but not long after I linked at Jan's, thunderstorms knocked my power out. To make matters worse, my internet is having a meltdown, and I have to reboot after nearly every person I visit. But I still hope to visit everyone this weekend.

The paper tassel is wonderful. I think it's a great way to use your excess scraps. I have a crush on your ATC. It is understated, yet romantically delicate and feminine. Happy 7th Anniversary from # 5.

Not being able to see the top of your desk is a good thing. Seriously. LOL We have such great talent which is evident by those ATC's. Happy WOYWW.
