One Sheet Is All You Need ...

Hi there Bloggy Mates,

By the time this post publishes itself, I should be busy doing nothing with three of my besties from way back when ...
Left to right: Michelle, Emma and Polly
We have booked a little place all to ourselves and plan to spend a few days catching up, crafting, chatting and generally chilling - probably quite a lot of eating and drinking will be going on as well.

I thought it would be nice to take a little home-made gift for each of them, so I decided to have a go at these little albums, each made from just one sheet of 12" square paper ...

All the papers I used and most of the embellishments came from some scrapbooking pads I bought back in 2007, when I first started scrapping. They're still pretty and I think this was agreat way to use some of them up - they include little diecut pieces like tags, words and borders, so all I had to add was some ribbon, a paper clip and the heart/flower/button on the fronts. I also popped in some washi samples and a few tiny prints of some selfies we took during a previous trip, just to get them going ...

Hehehehe - they'll LOVE those :o)

The books are full of pockets and stuffed with little tags, folders, clips and tuck spots - the idea is to add pictures, words and mementoes of our trip. I hope they'll like the idea as much as I do!

If you would like to try making an album out of one sheet of scrapbook paper, just have a quick search on YouTube - there are just LOADS of tutorials and ideas on there.

Thanks for popping in today, see you again soon!

How cool... That is one of my fave things to do and I have a group of friends that goes away at least once a year for a week and we do the same thing and it is so much fun. I love these little gifts and has given me an idea for our advent swap. You are so full of good ideas I just love to visit your blog. Thank you Annie <3
