WOYWW #449 - starting as I mean to go on.

Hello Fellow Deskers and Bloggy Friends,

It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - time to show the world what's happening in your creative space this week. Pop over to the lovely Julia's Stamping Ground - check it out, have a snout at other people's craft rooms, link up and join in if you would like to, everyone is welcome :o)

So here's mine today ...

I've deliberately gone for what I hope is a nostalgic atmosphere in my desk photo this week, to signify that this jumbled mess of a desk is a thing of the past - well, that's my intention anyway ...

This picture was taken on Tuesday afternoon, after I'd spent several hours on my day off sorting through all Stuff in my craft room. For some reason, the actual desk got worse as everything else got better and in the end I just ran out of time ... and steam. You know how sometimes a task becomes so overwhelming that you wish you'd never started on it?!?

If you were to peek to the left of the desk, you would see that I've made some headway and things are looking much brighter ...

I've got rid of some of the stuff I'd not used for months, making space for finished projects and UFOs (Unfinished Objects) to go on the shelves where will be more likely to enjoy/finish them. I plan to make a permanent spot for my sewing machine and typewriter and hope to create a better set-up for taking photos and such. It's a work in progress, but I'm getting there.

By the time this posts itself, I will be sitting at a completely different and much less interesting desk as I'll be back at work - hopefully my kind friend Zsuza will spot my post and do the honours :o)

I'll be popping over to Julia's over the next couple of days to catch up with everyone - see you there!

Thanks for visiting me today :o)

Well, at least one side of your craft room is neat and tidy, Annie! Loving the nostalgic shot of your busy desk - it's like something out of the 1960's LOL! It would be great to have a permanent place for my sewing machine as well, but at the moment I have to clear my desk and set it up every time I want to use it, just for sewing some paper, and most of the time I just can't be bothered! I've spotted your little caravan on your shelves - looks lovely sitting there! Happy WOYWW! xx

The old saying that it has to get worse before it gets better is so true eh?! You'll feel great when it's all completed though - not only will you have more space but you've refreshed your memory as to what you've got. Cheeky request here - if you've got any die cuts or things that can be used for cards, please could I have them for WI cards? I'll pay postage!

Happy Belated WOYWW. Good luck with finishing your big sort out. Reminds me of my tidying up of my freezer yesterday - when I ended up with a big pile of food on the kitchen island, and at one point it all seemed too much! Ali x #7

Oh I hear you Annie - I planned to spend the Christmas break purging my s/crap room, but alas, was enticed away to binge watch Downton Abbey, kindly lent to me by a friend. You, however have done marvelously well and I admire your resolve. TFS
