In Stitches Part Two!

Hi there,

Yesterday I posted the first four pages from the GoGoGetaway "Stitched Happy" event back in April, which I eventually got around to finishing off a couple of weeks ago. With help and inspiration from GoGo Girls Kirei and Nicki, we tried out lots of different ways to add stitched elements to our scrapbook pages.

Here's another one we made with Nicki ...

I loved the look of these tone-on-tone stitches just accentuating the pattern in the paper, and I will definitely be trying this again. The photo shows Karen, Mel, Emma, Trina and me during a wintery weekend in Wells, when we all got together for a crafty weekend.

This next one with Nicki used paper piecing and hand stitching to create a pretty scene ...

Perfect for this picture of my niece Alice and great-neice Leila playing with their sock puppets.

For this one, Kirei showed us how to stitched around diecut letters to create this huge title ...

This was a perfect opportunity to scrap this photo of myself on a boat trip - something I though I'd never do again, due to a fear of water.

Finally, one more from Kirei ...

This one was finished very quickly, as we just machine stitched with gold thread between the photos, and the diecut frames already had stitching on them, so it was just a matter of layering up the diecuts, stickers and chippies to finish the layout.
These silly selfies with my good mates (clockwise from bottom left) Chel, Polly and Em.

So, as you can see, we squeezed a lot into the weekend and as always we came away with loads of goodies to play with as well. Can't wait until the big GoGoGetaway in October - which I was lucky enough to WIN can you believe?! I'm sharing the prize with Trina, becuase without her I couldn't go on all these crafty jollies and wouldn't enjoy them half as much without her :o)

Thanks for visiting my blog today, see you again soon!
