Hello Fellow Deskers,
I'm slightly late to the party but better late than never :o) Somehow it got to be Wednesday again already so it's time to link up over at Julia's Stamping Ground and see what everyone's been up to this week. Here's my desk this morning ...
I'm between projects, so it looks kinda tidy-ish. From left to right, you can see my iPad (essential for binge-watching, currently Les Mis on BBC iPlayer), some new stamp and die storage folders above that, my just-finished page for this week's Wanderlust 2019 lesson, a curious little book I found yesterday in a charity shop and my habitual black coffee.
The book was a real find, here's a closer look at the cover ...
One of the pages at the front was missing, so I went online to see if I could find out what it said. I didn't find the missing page yet, but I did discover that this was a collection of "found" photos from photo booths, put together by an artist called Dick Jewell (sounds like some kind of exotic body piercing doesn't it?!), which he self-published in very limited numbers in 1978 and again in 1980. The whole book is full of page after page of gems like these ...
I find it totally fascinating and I think these pictures would make really cool focal points for various projects. Apparently, if this copy was in much better nick and maybe even numbered or signed, it might be worth a lot of money, but I'm actually glad it's a gnarly copy as I really want to keep it :o)
Ok, time to pop over to Julia's and link up now, see you there!
