What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #581

Hello Fellow Deskers everywhere,

It's been over a year since I made the decision to take a break from blogging, because I was just too overwhelmed with Other Stuff at the time - but things have calmed down now so I'm back and it's WOYWW day wooHOO!!. I can't wait to see what everyone else has been up to - if you would like to join in, just pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and check it out.

We've moved house since I last posted, so I have a new and improved craft room now (still stuffed to the gills though). Here's my messy desk in all its glory ...

On the top are some sketches I've been working on from a class called Ball Jointed Dolls with Jenny Manno. This was one of the classes from Paint Your Heart and Soul 2020 which I treated myself to this year - haven't done many of them yet but I've been enjoying watching them and feeling inspired.

Underneath you can see my current art journal with a picture I left to dry overnight - this one has been through a lot of changes and ugly phases. I think she still looks a bit weird but I feel I can finally call her done and move on ...

So that's me this week - now I'm going to pop over to snoop around everyone else's desk. Aah, I've so missed this!

Thanks for popping in :o)

welcome back xx loving your work. I signed up for Lifebook 2020 in January and did quite a bit to start with but got distracted with other stuff . I do like the fact that I can catch up when ever I want to go back to it. Have a lovely week - hope to see you next week too. Soojay #14

I'm late in the day visiting this week but it's better than last week's effort lol.
I've spent the day replenishing my basket of face masks...but as soon as I fill them they sell so it's a bit like painting the Forth bridge :-)
Welcome back. Love what you've been busy with.
Hugs,

Oh WOW, that face looks almost photo like. That is brilliant!
I once signed up for a couple of classes but never got around to doing them and now I have not a clue where they are so I am careful what I sign up for now I don't work. Mind you I still spend as if there is no tomorrow.
Welcome back anyway, nice to see you here again, and in a new home. Hope you are very happy with the new place and isn't it surprising how quickly we crafters can fill a place.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

It's so fab to see you on the desks again Annie, I have missed you - I hadn't realised you'd moved but am glad to see the new desk in all its glory, lol! I think the painting is lovely, she's enigmatic like the Mona Lisa.

Welcome back! Your picture reminds me of our daughter! I think it's her eyes that reminds me of her. Hope your move went smoothly.
Have a great week and thanks for popping by!

Welcome Back, thanks for stopping by. A house move is a LOT of WORK ! hope you are settled and have MORE room~! Your drawings and journal pages are great...Best Wishes and have a great week
You're back, Annie! I can't believe it's been more than a year! I've been on and off myself - not on this week, but glad to see you've made it. Hope you've been keeping well. Love your new page - it reminds me of the LifeBook lessons we used to have - you did the nose so well - that's always something I've struggled with - brilliant shading! Lovely to see you back - hope you'll hang around! xx

Welcome back, Annie! So good that things in your life are now sufficiently better that you can come back to blogging again. I hope you've settled in well in your new home. Your desk looks awesome! Very organised. Your journal page is absolutely stunning - not weird at all - just very stylish and creative! Very well done indeed.

Thank you for visiting, and I'm glad you like my tiny carpets. A lot of people make them for their dolls' houses so I am sure they would be perfect for your miniature rooms (I'd love to see those!). These days I need good light and magnification to do the fine work, but with that, it's perfectly fine and I'm sure you'd manage it. If you scroll back to my previous WOYWW post you will see details of how I designed the patterns. I had a very nice book of charted designs for oriental rugs at one time but can't seem to find it at the moment... I'm glad you like our colourful patio too - we got the elephant umbrella at the Devon County Show last year. We'd been hankering after one for years and last year we thought, blow the expense, and went for it - and have never regretted it! We are sitting out there every day that it's sunny enough these days and it's just gorgeous - a real sun trap, and my hubby has worked really hard during the lockdown to make it pretty with all the flowers.

Happy WOYWW,

Hey Annie. How lovely to see you today! Golly, is it really over a year? I think we have all had in and out times here on WOYWW - I was AWOL half of last year as I went and had a very belated "gap year"!!! Took the family caravan all over the place..
So, a new house, a new craft room... wow! A busy year for you - no wonder we didn't see you. It looks like your new room is well into the swing of being used. Great.
Take care. God bless.

Gosh Annie, a year?!! Seriously worrying that is! Happy new home to you, looks as though you’re very settled, your desk is ooozing inspiration as usual! The journal page is a thing of beauty missus, funny how you can work on something for ages and still not be satisfied, then someone else comes along and sees nothing but lovely!
