Wistful Watercolour Girls

Inspired by a class with Angela Kennedy as part of PYHaS 2020, though my take on it isn't a patch on Angela's beautiful painting and my girls have turned out looking a bit sad and grumpy as always :o)

I learned a lot though, and enjoyed the process - especially loved doing the hair, and enjoyed using salt to create a pattern in the fabric of their dresses, definitely adding that to my repertoire of techniques.

Love this too! Especially the salt flecked dresses and the patterned background, just lovely. You are very talented!

I can’t get in to comment on your WOYWW post for some reason, although it was to express jealousy....finished your cards...wow! Great good on ya Annie! Aim making a few here and there but really lacking inspiration it has to be said. I love the painting, the salt effect is lovely isn’t it, another technique that one forgets in amongst all the things we learn! you are a very adaptable craft talent aren’t you.

Your pensive, wistful girlies are delightful Annie - they would look lovely on one of your cards.
Just wonderful, Annie - love how the colours work together and it has that unmistakable mixed media feel!
This looks great, well done x
