WOYWW #594

 Hello Fellow Deskers,

I've missed several weeks - Life seems to keep swallowing my Wednesdays recently - but I was determined not to miss another one, so I'm posting now and will be back later to have a snout around.

Pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground if  you would like to join in, we're a very friendly lot :)

Here's my desk this week, in the throes of finishing up my Christmas cards - yes FINISHING my Christmas  cards, can you believe it?!

I've made 120, enough to sell a few and leave plenty for us to last for a couple of years I reckon! I've also been playing with origami this week ...

The shirts open up to hold sweeties or small gifts - a friend suggested they would make a great gift bag for a tie and you could give socks or tights in the shoes. The shirt uses one sheet of A4 and the shoes use two squares of whatever size you like - the smallest I've done used 3" squares and the ones in the picture were 8" squares.

Anyway, I'm off to catch the bus in the rain, meeting a friend for a socially-distanced BOGOFF lunch. Hoping the bus won't be too crowded - not everyone is too good about adhering to the rules and of course no one wants to challenge the person who sits in a blocked seat, closes the window and pulls their mask down to have a good cough. For two pins I'd just stay indoors, but we've been planning this for ages and I don't want to let my friend down. I'm sure it will be fine :)

I'll be back later to check out everyone else's desks and have a nosey at all your creative doings - see you at Julia's!

ps EDIT how strange, I can see that there are 12 comments on this post but can't get in to read them or see who left them. Going try updating and see if that dislodges the gremlin!

You have the most adorable projects all the time Annie! And usually ones I'd never seen elsewhere! Well done on the Christmas cards - 120! That must be some sort of a record surely! You must have been very busy in the background. I know how you feel about meeting your friend - when you set it up you probably envisioned a nice sunny day, clear skies, birds chirping - bummer! Still, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time and when it comes to memories the weather doesn't really play any part. The best memories I have of our Cornish holidays is when we got soaking wet - which was pretty much most of the time LOL! Have a happy week and thanks for your visit - I'm so glad you're back! xx zsuzsa #13

Ooooh, I love your origami projects - I've had a go myself at easier ones and really enjoyed. Those little shirts are genius and perfect for holding gift vouchers or money. You're very neat, the folds are incredibly precise - can you tell I learned the hard way, lol! Enjoy your lunch, we won't be able to meet anyone in Wales after we go into lockdown on Friday.....sigh.

Hi Annie. Oh, those little origami projects are such fun. So much work - but they look great. Yes, a gift inside them is such a lovely idea. Well done you. Hope lunch and the journey there and back is a good time.
Take care. God bless.

Wow, well done on finishing your Christmas cards - that is a very impressive feat. I love the origami projects - I have recently found an origami shirt pattern to hold a gift card for my nephew, it looks very similar to yours but is not so much a box as a holder. The shoes are absoltuely delightful.
Enjoy your lunch and stay safe and well,
