WOYWW #621

Hello Fellow Deskers and Bloggy Friends,

It's been an age - other stuff getting in the way so I haven't had time to properly join in with WOYWW for weeks and I miss my weekly snout around other people's crafty spaces. Here's mine, where I have the contents of my latest Scrawlr Box hoping to get time to play later today.

Number One Son has just left ten minutes ago, having stayed with us for a fortnight after coming back to the UK from Portugal. It had been over two years since I'd last seen him this time and don't know when I'll see him again, so I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning.

On the bright side, how lovely to see some sunshine, isn't it? I spent the day yesterday planting up my pots in the back garden, listening to the birds and bees being busy.

Number Two Son and I have been making a puppet and streaming the process on Twitch TV. Here he is, almost finished, he's actually a caricature of said son and does look very like him I think ...

Just needs another hand and obviously some trousers! Tom and I have had some really difficult stuff to deal with lately, so it's been lovely spending time doing something fun with him, it's a great way to connect with him and his friends - they're all lovely and I've been bowled over by how welcoming they've been to this old biddy :o)

Anyway, I'm off to Julia's Stamping Ground to link up and see what everyone else has been up to. I believe we're coming up to the WOYWW anniversary to there may be Plans Afoot ... see you there!

Have a good week everyone.

Annie xx

looks like a lovely collection of goodies in your Scrawlr box and I hope you get time to create. The puppet is absolutely wonderful and so nice to think you have been able to create together. Stay safe and keep creating.

Oh an adorable little puppet. Hope Sunshine comes your way and you can get revived. It's hard to say good by to family, when we know the visits are so far and in between. I've 2 sons 2 years since I've seen the military family. 2x this year for the other, miss the grandkids growing up too fast. Have fun playing with your paints. #24

I’m glad that your time spent with Tom has been productive in so many ways xx. The puppet is fab, I admire your skill and patience levels!! And how wonderful to have had your other son to stay, two years was a long time not to see him, I bet you had to pack a lot o hugs and chatting into that fortnight. My eldest is coming to stay this Saturday, can’t wait!

I absolutely love your puppet. He looks lovely but the nicest thing is that it has been something to share with your son and it has been helping both of you through a difficult time. What better little puppet can you have than that? A constant reminder of a rel little helper that you can turn to and talk to (when no-one else is around).
Looks as if your Scrawlr box was full of goodies.
Hugs, Net 2 xx

Old buddy my left arm. Or Toms puppet left arm! You are so cool that I expect his friends are delighted to spend time with you. I hope difficulties are easing. And I hope you’ve had a lovely session with your Scrawlr box this afternoon.

Great that you had your son home for some time, anyway and love the puppet you've been making! Hope you enjoy your Scrawlr box of goodies. Helen #4
Loving the puppet and pleased to hear you've been able to spend time with your sons. It's been a very difficult time for families. Hope you get chance to see them again soon. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x14x
Glad you had a lovely visit from your son and enjoyed some fun time with your other son. The puppet is looking great. I had a look at the Scrawl boxes. I am often tempted to have an arty subscription, but then I think, what if I don’t like what’s in the box? - and is it really worth it? I do tend to overthink things! Have a great week Angela #16

I'm glad you managed to spend some time with your son, Annie, but sad to have to say goodbye, especially for an indeterminate period. The puppet is amazing!

Happy belated WOYWW,
