Oh We Do Like to Be Beside The Seaside ...

Oh we do like to be beside the sea!
Yes we do like to stroll along the prom prom prom
Where the brass band plays - tiddly-om-pom-pom!
So just let me be beside the seaside
And I'll be beside meself with glee ...

The words of this lovely old music hall song were the inspiration for this fun page about my little cousins enjoying a day by the sea with their Granny ...

I used this brilliant December Sketch by Liz Chichester for My Creative Sketches -

Most of the goodies came from my Funky Farm kit and I added a few bits from my stash ...

Here you can see several patterned papers from the Echo Park "Here & Now" collection - I love the gorgeous bright colours and the chalkboard elements in this collection, and they all go together so easily. The camera was cut from "Border Strips" and the chalkboard arrows from "Chalkboard Quotes". The cute little shiny heart is a Prima Anna Marie Sugar Dot and I love the quirky pink octopus which came from Frog Dog Studio. I picked out some MME tiny word stickers from the kit to go inside the Chalk Studio frame.

I added a twirl of twine to highlight the photo, and a pair of wooden wellies coloured with Distress Ink in "Mowed Lawn". The words of the song are doodled all around the edge of the page and I've also doodled lines around all the patterned papers to make them stand out more.

The drips and splashes were created with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and outlined with black pen.

As a fun finishing touch I made a windmill with a scrap of MME Pretty Please "Polka Dot Orange", added a button to the centre and attached it to the page with foam tape to lift it off the page.

Hope you like it!

Thanks for visiting today - see you again soon :o)xxx
