WOYWW #277

Hi Everyone,

Is it REALLY Wednesday?? - they are coming around so fast! This is the day when Deskers all over the world gather together at Julia's Stamping Ground to show each other what's been happening in their arty/crafty workdesks this week.

Mine's a bit boring today ...

I've started playing along with Tag Tuesday again after a long absence, so I'm making another book to keep my tags in as I go along this time, rather than end up with massive piles again (!?!)

My previous Tag Heap grew so huge, I had to make FIVE fat books to keep them all in ...

These still need some work - I have to put covers on them, pretty up the insides and most importantly add notes about where the inspiration came from, what techniques I tried and so on. It would have made much more sense to do this as I go along, so hopefully that's what I will do in future ... hmmmm .... we'll see! :o)

Ok, enough rambling on, time to check out everyone else's creative spaces over at Julia's - see you there!

Not boring at all, Annie - absolutely fascinating in fact. Do you have a tutorial on how to make the books? This is an area I have recently got into and I am fascinated by the bindings on these books. I'd love to see more, and to see how you make up the insides, too, and how they contain the tags. Such a cool idea!!

Thanks for your lovely comment. My ARTHaven may be amazing but there's not too much "space" about it at the moment lol!! It's full of clutter dumped everywhere - amazing how quickly that happens when one isn't on top of things. I am so looking forward to the felt class, and I'm glad you like the colours. Last night before bed I carded them and got rid of the incipient felting that happened when I dyed them, and they are so soft and fluffy now that you can hardly feel them! I almost feel like spinning them... I am hoping we'll be allowed to take photos at the class so I can report on my progress, but if not, I'll be blogging anyway and uploading photos of what I've done.

Happy WOYWW,

You can get cream for that, you know...massive piles, that is :-)...snigger....
Love those tag books, not only do they look amazing but they save the tags just being shoved in a drawer!!

Hi Annie, thanks for stopping by at mine, the swapping is fun, the hard work is thinking of something different to do. We usually keep it going for about 12months and then start something different.
I agree with Shoshi, I would love to see a tutorial on this, I have loads of tags and never can decide on the best way to store them.
Must come back to have a better snoop round later, you may have more samples?
Happy crafting, Angela x 36

Goodness, Annie. What an enormous pile of tags. Will you simply keep them as sample of techniques? Or will you use them for additions to other things you are making?
Take care. God bless.

(ROFL at LLJ's comment about the piles!!! Ha ha ha!!) Thanks for your lovely comments, Annie, and I'm glad you enjoyed your virtual rummage through the charity shops with me, and the Kaffe Fassett pics. My "follow" button is right at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar on my blog.

I love the idea of tag books! I was wondering what to do with all those tags! Not that I've made many yet, but I've just ordered a bunch of blank shipping tags from Amazon to experiment with. Your books look so well made! zsuzsa @ InkiDinkyDoodle #22
