You don't have to use the colours to enter this challenge, but I love this combination of icy blues, white, deep red, beige and dark brown, so I was very happy to use them again for my canvas. I was also inspired by the ice, the frosting, sprinkles, snowflakes and fairy lights.
I started with a canvas and a pack of tissue paper, both from a Pound Shop ...
Here's the background before I added my whimsical angel ...
It's mainly tissue paper adhered with matte medium, then I added texture paste here and there, several shades of Distress Ink, a coat of Mod Podge and a sprinkle of white Mister Huey.
The whimsical angel was stamped on to watercolour paper using my Georgie stamp set, adhered to the canvas and coloured with layers of Kaiser Fusion pens, acrylic paints, blendable pencils and Faber Castell Pitt Pens until I was happy with the result. Here's a close-up ...
The words were typed on my vintage Gabriele, coloured with DI and shaded with Pitt Pens. I added lots of cotton cheesecloth for texture ...
