Hello Bloggy Friends,
Here's a fun idea for what to do with all those old envelopes, rather than just chucking them in the recycling bin - turn them into dinky mini window envelopes to hold journaling cards for scrapbook and PL pages. These are all about 2" or 3" long ...
After opening the envelopes out flat, I used my WRMK Envelope Board to cut and score them (you could make them without the board, but it does make life a lot easier!). Some I turned inside out as I like the look of the printing.
Then I used various punches and dies to make new windows and re-used the transparent film from the original envelopes to stick behind the openings. The words were stamped in Archival Ink, they were from a Heidi Swapp Memory File stamp set I've had for ages.
Finally, I cut journaling cards from scraps of paper to go inside, so that the colours show through the windows ...
I like how the markings on the original envelope still shows on the inside, like the one on the ottom right in the picture above.
Cute idea, isn't it? Or is it just me?!? :o)
Thanks for stopping by today, see you again soon!
