Hello bloggy friends,
The inspiration kit over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge this month is the gorgeous "Weekend in Paris" by Noel Mignon. My version is called "Happy Hour", here's a peek ...
The original kit was very pretty and romantic and I pulled lots of elements from it to create my own version. I started with some plain cardstocks in those gorgeous sweetie-shop colours ...
Some whole 12"x12" sheets, some scalloped 8" squares, a "gutted" pink piece and some smaller pieces I want to use up, as well as some plain watercolour paper for mixed media backgrounds.
Then I added some patterned papers and a pack of chipboard pieces ...
Several of these came from the "Carousel" collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper as in the inspiration kit, because I happened to have some (I bought loads of this collection as I luuuuurrrve it). I also included several older papers from my stash and again some smaller pieces which need using up.
Next came the extras and embellishments, also inspired by that beautiful Noel Mignon kit ...
Vintage-style trims, bowls, doilies, resin pieces, wood veneers, tickets, labels, clear acetate frames and butterflies, paper flowers, scripty words, Nuvo Drops and Stickles, washi, enamel dots, puffy stickers, shaped paperclips, mini alphas and gold Thickers .... and probably other stuff I've forgotten!
There are a few home-made "forgeries" in there, but I'll save those for another post as this is dragging on a bit now :o)
Thanks for coming to my blog today, hope to see you again soon!
