Hello everyone,
Welcome to my stop on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop. Hopefully you've arrived here from the CKC blog and your next stop will be Margie. Scroll to the bottom for a full list.
I was very excited when Tina Campbell, one of the Master Forgers over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, invited me to be a Guest Designer for April :o)
CKC is a fabulous challenge - it really gets you thinking outside of the box and looking at your crafty stash with new eyes. There is always lots of inspiration on the blog, with challenges throughout the month and a link-up so you can share your projects.

The inspiration kit for this month is the Button Farm "Everyday Documented Page Kit" ...
I loved the fresh, juicy colours in the kit and the hand-painted look of some of the papers and embellies. With all the flowers, fruit and butterflies it reminded me of spring (which is just arriving here in the UK), so I've called my version "Spring is in the Air" ...
It's a mixture of old, new and home-made and it's full of stuff I love, so I'm really looking forward to creating some projects with it.
Let's have a closer look at the details and how I put the kit together. I started with almost my entire collection of Distress Oxide Inks, partly because they happened to be the kinds of colours I wanted to pick up from the inspiration kit, and partly because I really want to start using them more ...
I found some coordination plain cardstocks to get me started, then added in a good old mixture of different patterned papers ...
Stripes, spots, checks, geometric, large prints, ditzy prints, abstract, orgnanic, artsy and fussy-cuttable - they're all there. Some of these are really new, others are so old I can't remember where I got them, so it's nice to bring them out to play with some new friends :o)
Next I dug out some sticker sheets, one brand-new, and a couple of part-used old ones, and a hardly-used book of lovely transparent alpha stickers from Amy Tangerine ...
Inspired by the Button Farm kit, I threw in assorted wood veneer pieces, doilies, diecuts, paper flowers and some metallic Nuvo Drops to create my own enamel dots ...
I have made my own version of the speech bubbles, PL cards, banners, tags and butterflies, which you can't see here as I made them after this picture was taken - but come back in a few days for Forgeries on the Fourth and all will be revealed ...
Now it's time to check out the next stop on the Blog Hop for loads of inspiration from the Master Forgers.
Thanks for visiting me today, pop back on Wednesday for Forgeries on the Fourth! :o)Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog - http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/Guest Designer - http://www.artyfartyannie.comMargie - http://scrappinmargie.blogspot.com/Julene - http://julenebydesign.blogspot.comLynnette - http://sassyscrapper2010.blogspot.com
