WOYWW #587 - Wired up!!

 Good Morning Fellow Deskers,

It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, time to show the world what we've been up to in our crafty spaces this week. Check out Julia's Stamping Ground to find out all about it.

Here's mine as I left it last night, after finishing the electric lighting in the book nook I showed you a couple of weeks ago ...

The lighting gubbins is all contained within the ceiling, which fits on like the lid of a shoebox and has a dinky switch at the front and a miniature "loft hatch" to allow access to the innards to replace batteries and so on ...

I'm ridiculously proud of myself for having faced the Demon of Electrickery so that I was able to design and wire it up by myself. Here it is on my bookshelf all lit up ...

I thought it might be nice to create a label for the front with my old typewriter, but not sure what words to use, maybe "A Stitch in Time" ... hmmm ... any suggestions?

Ok, enough waffle, time to head over to Julia's and see what everyone else has been up to this week. See you there!

Fair play to you for doing all the wiring yourself - I'm mega impressed! The book nook is absolutely fantastic and I don't think you can better 'A Stitch in Time' as a title myself.

Hi Annie, I think the comments about an adapter depend on which ATG you have- the pink one only takes 1/4" tape, but the yellow one will take 3 different sizes, but needs an adapter for the 1/4". Absolutely fab piece you've created, it looks awesome. The lighting and hatch are very well done. A real masterpiece. Stay safe, have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #14. X

Wonderful - it must look amazing in the dark! Do you ever wish you could shrink yourself and move into it? Happy Wednesday, Annie! xx zsuzsa #18

Oh Annie I just love your little miniature sewing room! To see it in situ, with its light on, between the vintage books, is a real treat. It is an absolutely brilliant piece of work and a credit to your attention to detail and immense patience. It's just perfect!

Thank you for visiting. I seem to be the only one who can see the mistakes in this current tiny carpet lol! Perhaps that's as it should be! Anyway I am going to redraw the design and get it right. I'm too much of a perfectionist, I know. Do try the cashew cream - it's really delicious and so much better for you too. We are having it on strawberries at the moment.

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #12
I love your little book nook - did you model it on LLJs studio lol? You have every right to be proud of doing the electrical stuff - I wouldn't have a clue! Happy Wednesday, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #15

Electrickery and all! a well done Annie, another arrow in the quiver. What a great birds eye view of the Nook too, really enjoyed gazing at it all. I can’t help with a snappy title, good grief...’all my own work’ pops straight into my head!!
