Starry Starry Night

The theme over at Tag Tuesday this week is Starry Starry Night and I was intending to create a beautiful peaceful winter nightscape, but somehow my tag went off in a different direction (as they often do) - here's how it turned out ...

This was really easy to do - the gorgeously romantic image is from an ArtChix ephemera sheet which came in a FrogDog kit. I just adhered it to a piece of card for stability, sanded the edges, trimmed with scraps of ribbon and lace, added a spray of paper roses and finished with some sticky gems.

Only trouble is that I now have Don McLean running through my head ....

Happy Christmas one and all! :o)xxx

Oooh Annie, how gorgeous is that? I haven't been over to look at Tag Tues. yet but I expect most people will have chosen a Christmas theme for the suggested title. Yours is a real bit of glam! Love it! I love how you've photographed it too, with the wood background and the little organza bag. Just beautiful.

Thank you for your beautiful comment on my blog. I am so glad you enjoyed reading about Dad. We had his funeral on Thursday and I had such positive feedback from everyone about my talk, which was a distillation of what I wrote in that post. I definitely recommend the book - maybe it was just my circumstances at the time I read it, but it had a profound effect on me!

This whole experience, and meeting an installation artist the other night and the conversation we had, has led me to having a germ of an idea about the future of my art in general. I have been seeking some more focus without losing my versatility and now have a lot to think about!!

I will definitely be exploring your "Show'n Tell". In the New Year I am hoping at last to get into more of a routine and have more opportunities for art than I've had for the past several months.

Hi Annie, me again. Thanks for your lovely comment and your good wishes. It was a lovely send-off for Dad and I think he would have been pleased, except that he always hated to be in the limelight!!

I hope you have a good Christmas and a happy New Year.
