WOYWW #604 - Hopes and Plans

Hello Deskers and Bloggy Friends,  It's Wednesday, time to link up over at Julia's Stamping Ground and share what's on our workdesks this week. Here's mine ... Demelza has run a comb through her Lockdown Locks, so she's ready to show off her party dress ... ... and those cute tiny shoes I was telling you about last time ... So, the weirdest Christmas ever has come and gone and we're ready to welcome 2021 and the promise of a better year to come for all of us. I have lots of crafty plans - first thng is to get some manly birthday cards made. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to make over my old planner and use it as a bullet journal with lists and stuff to keep track of all the stuff I want to do in the coming year. Happy New Year to all my bloggy friends, I'm confident that there really is light at the end of the tunnel now, but we're not quite out of the woods yet (mixing metaphors with gay abandon there), so please take good care of yourselves....

WOYWW #602 - a new obsession

Hello Fellow Deskers,  It's Wednesday again, almost the last one before the Strangest Christmas Ever, another week waves cheerio as it flies by cackling because it got away from me :) Time to link up over at Julia's Stamping Ground and see what other Deskers have been up to this week. It was lovely to "meet" lots of you on Zoom - I was a bit confoozed (as we say in Norfolk) and befuddled by it all, but it was fun wasn't it? Anyway, to business - here's my desk this week ... It's full of my current obsession - jewellery making. I rediscovered loads of broken necklaces and findings during the overhaul of my craft room, where they'd been lurking for at least 15 years. I've now dismantled all the old necklaces into reusable beads and bits and started learning how to remake them into new pretties. All I've actually had to buy is the bead tray (too skint to buy that 15 years ago) and the magnifying headset (didn't need that 15 years ago) and I...

WOYWW - the BIG 6-0-0!!!

Good morning Fellow Deskers,  WOW!! this is the SIX-HUNDREDTH WOYWW, can you believe it! A special hello to my fellow deskers and dear bloggy friends and an extra special hello to our hostess Julia. Thank you so much for keeping us all together through thick and thin <3 xxx and long may it continue! Anyway, here's my desk this week ... I finally finished tidying my room and rediscovered/reorganised lots of stash I'd forgotten about, so I've been having another bash at jewellery-making and my current project is a little Christmas book, jus tthe titivating to do now. Also finished the Everlasting Advent Calendar, just in the nick of time ... Each box has sweeties and one of my husband's "hilarious" jokes hidden inside. I made it out of old coffee boxes and hubby made the little boxes ... That was the beginnings of the other one we made for the grandkiddies - hope they're enjoying it! Another finished project was my textile self portrait for the Knitting...
