Hi Everyone,
Here's another really quick and easy Christmas card which looks far more clever and complicated to make than it really is!
This idea was inspired by my son Tom, when we were hunting for nothing in particular in his local "Pound Shop" and came across these pretties ...
Ignore the tissue paper for now and check out the cool textured snowflakes printed onto a sort of clear clingy sheet - they are meant to be for decorating windows, and you get two sheets in a pack for only £1.
To make three cards, I took a sheet of 12x12 cardstock and cut it into three 12x4 pieces ...
... then scored them at 4" intervals to create three equal sections and folded as shown below ...
Then I used my circle cutter to cut a hole in the first two sections, just big enough to fit the snowflake ...
I cut through both layers at the same time, to make sure that they lined up perfectly ...
Then I adhered a snowflake to the middle section with strong DST and added glue around the edges ...
... before pressing the layers together to create an aperture card ...
Then I stamped a sentiment with pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder ...
Here they are from a different angle ...
Well chuffed with those I am! It's amazing what you can find in Poundland :o)
