Hello, and welcome to my craftroom blog!
I'm shaking things up over on my YouTube channel - a whole new chapter starts this Sunday, with the first ever Sunday Brunch Live from 2pm - 3.30pm UK time (BST).
This weekly livestream will replace the WIP & Waffle Wednesdays AND the Arty Farty Parties which used to happen on the first Saturday of every month. Tom will join me in person and there will be the usual mix of arts and crafts with a generous portion of waffle!
To celebrate the first Sunday Brunch, we'll be doing two giveaways - one for the stitchers and one for the mixed media arty types (although you can enter for both). More news about them later :)
I decided that it's also a good time to refresh this blog and start making use of it again. I think it will be a great way to share information, extra photos, free printables, and those kinds of things, and also somewhere I can record thoughts, ideas, and news that I don't share elsewhere. It will also work well for people who prefer not to join groups like the Discord community and Facebook group.
One of the reasons for making some changes is that I've been spending a LOT of time doing YouTube and community stuff, and although I LOVE doing these things and they bring me much joy, I've realised that I need to find a bit of balance and make time for some of my other interests and to deal with Life Stuff. I've also listened to feedback from viewers that they would prefer a regular schedule on the YouTube channel. So I've come up with a timetable to keep me on track ...
MONDAY: Show-and-Tell Day - this could be happy mail, flip-throughs, stuff I've bought, and so on. It will be a pre-recorded video which will go out at 11am UK time, with Channel Members getting early ad-free access.
WEDNESDAY: Way Back Whens-Day - this will be an Arty Farty Reload from the archives, which will go out as a Live Premiere at 11am UK time, so that we can watch it together and enjoy the Live Chat feature which YouTube provides. These will vary from 20 minutes to one hour at the most.
FRIDAY: Happy Hour in my Craft Room - this will be whatever arts and crafts I've been working on that week, but I will try to do a good variety over the weeks so there is something for everyone. It will go out as a pre-recorded video at 11am UK time, with channel members getting early ad-free access.
SUNDAY: Sunday Brunch Live as described above, going out as a livestream at 2pm UK time. Viewers who join us while we're live can join in the Live Chat, but it will still be available to watch afterwards.
EXTRAS: Things like the Quilt Club videos for Stitch Kit will go out in addition to the above list.
